Well I finally got to see a 997 GT3RS in the flesh today and managed to blag a quick spin prior to a test drive next week. I had a meeting today in Solihull and leaving the meeting and pulling up at the island on J4 of the M42 I spotted this black with orange 997 GT3RS. As we are about 1 mile from Solihull OPC I follow it. It pulls up alongside and I ask "are you from the Porsche place" and I get "yup, wanna have a look". Well talk about the stupid question of the year award. I find out its the owner Nick Whale and he has had it for a day so it has only got 200 miles on the clock and it is his car not a company car. He won't let me drive it till it's run it which is fair enough, but said pop back in a week and you can take her for a spin. He then took me up the road for a quick blast and WHAT A NOISE, WHAT A RIDE and WHAT A CAR!!!

I HAVE to have one it is really that simple and its my next car for certain now and I haven't even driven it. It looks incredible in the skin and stands out so much more than my GT3. Looking forward to having a drive next week now to work on the wife!

I managed to get a picture taken with my phone through my windscreen as I was leaving so it's pretty poor.

Wow i love it. Ever since i saw the first pictures of this car i loved it.

Be sure to video your test drive so we can hear it. We want a full write up and a invitation to drive it once you got yours

I think you may have to snap your Mrs arms and legs off to get it, how much you looking at there?

Forgive me if I don't, I might have my hands full and people tend to get a bit annoyed when your driving their car while filming. I will take some photo's with my proper camera if I get the time. :p

I have no idea, but rest assured it is Solihull. Head towards Hockley Heath from J4 M42, turn left at first set of lights, follow the road to the end and you will see a Porsche garage stairing at you. You will find it looks just like the one in the picture (well exactly in fact :p) and you won't see that GT3RS or that CGT in Exeter, because they're in Solihull  :D

Awesome. I can't get over how the Halfords style rear wing just looks... absolutely right.

Stunning.
It was that I spotted! As you head towards the island from Solihull you climb a slight incline. All that caught my eye was the orange end plate on the rear wing.
