Howdy,

Twas a nice day so I have polished the car for the 1st time in nearly a year.

Used a clay bar for the 1st time, and it sure does make a huge difference!

I also fitted the new M5 style black Hamann grills.

the steering wheel look really out of place in that Picture.

Have you though of getting a new one because IMO thatone just doesnt suit the interior

Nope, whats wrong with it?

It has all the controls for the stereo and cruise on it, which is usefull.

Anyway I want to get rid of the whole car, not just the steering wheel ;-)

Its because I don't like the Sport rear bumper. The front of the car looks pants IMHO with the stock bumper, thats all I wanted to change.

Also, you need facelift rear lights, they look much better.

But if you're selling it for a Smart car, I suppose you don't want to spend any money on it :(

I really dislike the black rubstrips on the 5 series, they let down the look of the car. I'd have them colour coded I think, it'd make the lines a lot cleaner and the front end wouldn't look as cluttered.

Selling a 540i for a ... SMART car?

Yup, whats wrong with that. I don't need a huge 4.4L V8 to drive around town. Plus I have to park this on street which is a PITA most time.

Hmmm.

Not a fan of the grille, how is it an 'M5 style' grille, the M5 grille is chromed?

Bumper looks good, don't like the wheels and it looks a bit wrong with prefacelift rear lights and facelift front lights, and a Sport bumper and an SE rear.

Plus the other confusing thing - you have a Sharkfin aeriel in a non comms-pack fitted car? And don't the comms-pack E39's have a beesting aeriel not a Sharkfin? Whats all that about?

Otherwise, selling it for a Smart Car? What a daft idea.

I'm guessing you can reliably get reverse in a Smart car :D

Looks nice though. SHouldnt have any problem selling it I'd have thought.

Whats the point? You do what, 20 miles a week in it? It could do 1 mile to the gallon and it probably wouldnt cost much to keep.

Looks good

Forget what everyone else is saying because if you have it the way you want it thats all that matters

Could have gone and stuck an M badge on it after all

How am I giving him a hard time? I posted what I thought of his mods thats all! I got a bloody 15 PAGE hard time about my stupid badge including 7 pages of delving deep into my personal life, yet you criticise me for saying I don't like his rear lights?

Jeez this forum amazes me at times. The only thing I gave him a hard time about is selling it, cos thats a daft idea :p

You don't seem to think so, hence your ridiculously pointless post which has probably ruined this thread as it will soon descend into yet another pointless, petty fight.

Congrats.
