I have a reservation of a 6800 XT I'll use the OCuk link to the same card: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sapp...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-39a-sp.html

....for 1240 Euro Shipped.

My question is this, it is worth it? I really want a 6800 XT, is there a feeling that 6800 XT will suddenly burst into stock and prices will normalize soon? I have 5700XT that I can use to offset the cost a bit, but I'll be looking for a fair price for that.

What are your thoughts? go/on-go?

I've seen many of them in online stores in Portugal today, even the ASUS LC 6800xt around 1200 euro so i guess this is the price right now.
Also what is the fair price for a 5700xt these days since that card was selling for a lot of money not too long ago, maybe it still does.

How will you feel about your purchase when prices get back to closer to normal, will you regret it? If you wait it might be possible to get a 6900xt at some point for that sort of money or save the money for when the 7000 series comes out next year. Many people wait 2 generations to upgrade, you are only one generation old on your current gpu

This particular card has and MSRP of around 690 pounds, making it closer to 900 euro for me in Ireland (VAT, Import/Customs) etc.

As for 5700 XT I'm not sure.

I wanted a 6800XT but could not find one so ended up getting a 6900XT, if I found that card for that price at a shop new I would have got it. No one can say when stock will normalize. I also have a 5700XT and intended to sell it but selling stuff is a nightmare so ended up not bothering.

Good points. I could wait but I still find myself itching for a 6000 series. Maybe I'm just keen for the chase ha! 1200.... its a lot for a 6800XT, especially when you put a 6900 XT in the same sentance.

I would probably sell local in classified ads for pick up and view in my house.... nice and simple.

The 6900XT is a good card but I don't think its massively faster than the 6800XT but the 6800XT is a big step up from a 5700XT.
