So it was my birthday on Saturday (woo!) and I went out around London with the g/f. The weather was pretty awful, but hey you can't have everything and here are a couple that I've got around to processing.

1 - Tennyson quote on the floor at the British Museum.

2 - View of St. Pauls from the Millennium bridge. The boring grey sky made this one difficult to do much with, unfortunately. It's hardly an inspirational photo :/

Happy Birthday! :)
I like number 1, shame that even at 4 seconds, you still can't get enough blurring of movement. Was there some exhibit on the top right corner of the shot? Also, did you bring a tripod in or was it resting somewhere?

Thanks guys :)

I tried a few different lengths and I think around 4 seconds came out the best. Much longer than that and you just ended up with the whole area darker for the movement of people and not really anything to show for it. That shot is a selective merger of 4 different shots that I liked the people and the movement in. I set up my camera on a tripod and used a 1.2 ND filter to get the shutter speed low enough. There's a map board in the top corner, as you guessed.

I prefer the first one to be honest with you. I prefer the brightness, and I like the stationary people at the top.

I'd agree with that as well. Unfortunate that the sky wasn't interesting in the second one as I like the composition and contrast in the photo.

Yeah, I did the second one to get rid of the people at the top, but now I've done it, I'm also undecided about which I prefer. The brightness issue isn't important, as that's 10s difference in PS.
