Hi there

Heres a couple of recordings of the Mustang going through a short tunnel:-

First Tunnel run with windows down

Second Tunnel run with windows up

Enjoy, its a lot more fun to experience it in real life though. :)

I do have a couple of speedo video clips I did on a mafia owned airfield too, which I might post later. ;) :D

Spent most of the day driving around too, came across an M3 the current model who was easily despatched. Then a new RS4 Cab, that was more tricky and had to drop a cog to see the RS4 off but once I did I pulled bus lengths. Got a thumbs up from both drivers. :D

Would've been much nicer the camera faced where it was going rather than seeing the steering wheel :D

Lovely sound though

Yeah true but I just let the camera rest on me. One day I will not only get a better camera but will also get a camera assistent. :D

Hi there

Here's a couple of acceleration runs done on a private racetrack. :)

20mph - 135mph run through the gears. 30-130mph takes 13s and 60-130mph takes 10.5s

60mph - 110mph run using only 3rd gear. Takes 4.6s to do 60-100mph

These times pretty much tally up with some datalogged ones I did a few months back. I'd say its just slightly quicker now due to better traction from the suspension mods I've done. The speedo is accurate and is calibrated to GPS. If its out its now only 1-2mph past 100mph. Sorry about my granny shifting as I could change a little quicker too. :)

I want to take the car on one of the 30-130mph properly timed runs as hopefully the car is good for a circa 12s run with quicker shifts, guess to do this I'd need to get in on one of the EVO days?

For those who have no understanding of how my 30-130 times compare then take a look here:-
30130a.gif

Here is a list of cars that have done the 60-130mph run from review articles etc:-
Mc Laren F1: 6.0
Carrera GT: 6.4
Enzo: 7.0
CGT: 7.3
Tech art 996 TT 530hp: 8.5 sec
F430: 9.5
F50: 9.6
buggati EB 110: 10.4s
My Saleen S281: 10.5s
BMW M5 V10: 11.1s
Porsche 996TT: 11.5s
F355: 11.5s
BMW M3 CSL: 11.8s
993TTS: 12.2s
993TT: 13.4s
EVO IX FQ400: 12.2s
Evo IX FQ340: 14.8s
BMW 130i: 18s

For those interested in comparing 100km/h - 200km/h (62-125mph) my car is doing it in circa 9.2s :)

Awesome Gibbo! :D

how did the suspension mods go? have they improved things as you had hoped for them to?

Hi m8

Slackworth will comment on those. I aint done them all upto now. Still got the adjustable upper control arm to fit and the heavy duty upper strut mounts.

However upto now I have fitted rear lower control arms, rear swaybar with HD Links, Adjustable panhard bar and panhard brace. Also fitted a front G-Trac brace. As I've done each one step by step I have been able to notice the difference from each mod. For example the lower control arms have help stop a lot of wheel hop which basically means better traction of the mark and out of corners. The rear swaybar with HD links helped stiffen up the body further and keeps the rear-end better planted. The adjustable panhard bar and panhard brace have improved the handling, corner grip and made the car nicer balance and more controllable when you are moving sideways. The front g-trac brace has helped make the front end stiffer and more pointed.

Overall am very happy with the improvements, can now put the power down and plus its very planted in the corners, like on rails. :)

Excellent! :) Glad to hear it! - Will they all be done for the RR day?

Hi there

Well I am gonna get PowerStation to do the remaining two as I don't have the tools or ramp to do them. Still if done or not I shall still be there as the way the car drives now I am very happy with. :)

Can't wait to see this! Really please that the mods have turned out as you'd hoped :)

Hi there

There is plenty of it, listen to the video clip in the tunnel with windows up. Also on the speedo videos. The camera is not great but it does pick it up. :)

Hi there

Found a few more times, check out some of these crazy Porsches, if you think mine is quick then imagine what these are like, I mean 5s 60-130mph is crazy:-

60 -130 mph (96.5-209.2 kph):

5.9x - VRAlexander / Protomotive 1,000+ HP TT (AWD @ 1.3 BAR) / AX-22
6.15 - DMK / EVOMS 800+ HP TT (RWD) / Driftbox
6.6x - Jean / 3.8L 993 TT (RWD) / AX-22
7.93 - KPG / Ultimate MotorWerks 640 HP TT (AWD) / Driftbox
8.10 - 9Eleven / Orton 530 HP GT2 / Driftbox
8.76 - Scotty slc / Techart 510 + EVO V-Flow (AWD) / Driftbox
9.10 - Bill S / 993 Ruf R Turbo 490 HP / AX-22
9.56 - Topgun / X50 TT with Revo software (AWD) / Driftbox
10.96 - Woodster / Orton ECU & exhaust TT (AWD) / AX-22

For the sake of comparison, here are some 60-130 times for some fast production cars:

6.1 - Saleen S7 Twin Turbo
6.9 - Mosler MT900S
7.0 - Ferrari Enzo
7.3 - Porsche Carrera GT
8.9 - Mercedes SLR McLaren
9.1 - Porsche 993 RUF Turbo R (100 octane)
9.2 - Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06
9.4 - Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0
9.5 - Ferrari F430
10.5 - Gibbo's Mustang with granny shifts
10.9 - Lamborghini Murcielago
11.4 - Viper SRT V10 Coupe
11.7 - Ferrari Challenge Stradale
12.1 - Lamborghini Gallardo
12.2 - Porsche 996 TT

I am both surprised and rather chuffed my car it accelerating quicker than both a Murcielago and Gallardo. :D
Also the Z06, such a quick car for so little money in comparison to the other cars for so much performance and a car that can be used everyday. :)

According to the guys in the US my car is about right for one running 8psi on such large wheels. Makes me wonder what on earth it would do with smaller lighter wheels and maybe pushing 10-12psi. :D
