As title, me and a friend did some attempted studio stuff last night, messing around, all shot with canon 50,85mm primes or sigma 150,have played with varying white balances, not sure which works best, anyways overall what think ? :)

Having never done a studio shoot before I'm not the best person to comment but here's my view.

1. Looks a bit dark to me and i'm not a huge fan of the shadow across the left hand side of her face.

2. I like, although the shadow under her arms is a little off putting.

3. Nice pose, but if it were mine I would maybe try a really contrasty B&W, and of reshooting maybe shadow half her face.

4. Best of the 5, nice pose and lovely and sharp.

5. Nice capture, was she faking? Maybe a bit underexposed though?

Overall a good set, I really need to try a shoot one of these days. :)

agree no 4 is best of the bunch...

although they all seem to be a bit flat from lack of lighting...

what lighting did you have ?

1 is underexposed
some of them you can see the background texture, would look better with lots of bokeh

they are all very flat im afraid, exposures are all over the show etc. What equipment was it?

Tom.

EDIT 4 is the pick of the bunch though but the composition is a little weak and the lighting is just better than the others ;x

what were you using as a light meter? If you don't ahve one, do you understand how the histogram works?
