Round Trip Latency is key, as it QPI voltage and buying a CPU with a good memory controller.
Not every CPU will run 6GB ram at 2000 or higher, older CPU's are NOT as good as the new stepping..Intel did improve things.
If you have issues @2000 try 1600 with tight timings, increase IMC core clock speed and shoot for 7-7-7-24 or 6-6-6- ot 7-6-6-24 1N, it can be just as fast or faster than 9-9-9-26 at 2000.
