I've just came back from a couple of days in Amsterdam and my sim was locked and wouldn't connect to any network.

I've never had this issue before with other carriers so this is a post just to let users know it's best to call and enable this option as it's not enabled by default! :)

Quite disappointed by this as i had Layer, Yelp, Maps etc etc all set up and ready to help me with my trip :(

(Still had an amazing time nevertheless though!!)

Thought it was common knowledge that Tmobile phones are locked to their network...all the tmobile phones ive had have been locked to tmobile.

Ah...

I seen a T-Mobile NL network that i still wasn't able to connect to.

Can't be that common then lol. So for international travelling then, what options do i have?

Just phone your provider and lift the roaming bar

...Not really possible when there's a bar in place!

Anyways, i think the point here is missed. I wasn't aware there was a bar in place in the first place as i've not had that with previous providers so this was just a post to make people aware, but it seems as though everyone is aware of this already so feel free to lock this post!! :)

Ahh ok sorry my bad i thought u was talking about unlocking to other networks...but yes tmobile do place a roaming bar unless you specifically ask them to lift it.
