A-level exams: how are they going?

I just came back from my first English exam, it went horribly wrong. :(

How is everyone else doing?
Im lucky my subjects are mostly practical :D i only went to A-Level for the Double Award ICT :).

Got my first exam next tuesday, should go well - its a re-take (my whole class failed) because the teacher was teaching us from the wrong exam board!

What other exams you got?

My A-Level exams start in a week and I haven't started revising yet! :(

I've been knocked out by flu and can't concentrate for poo. I have 13 exams (6 retakes?) and if I mess this up my parents will go ape****!

Had the Physics practical exam yesterday and it didn't go too well - did the graph completely wrong and by the time I realised I only had 5 minutes left :(

Oh well... can always resit next year. Not looking forward to next week - I've got 6 hours of exams on Tuesday

I assume you were talking about the voltage one hour practical? (I did it yesterday, wrong. Didn't notice the "don't take into account -ve values until I got to the question "find the equation for the line" and it was a curve :o.. luckily I had enough time).

I thought the other two (salt flow and ruler bending) were pretty alright though. Seemed much easier then past ones imo.

Are you doing AQA physics B? I assumed you were if I'm talking about something completely different.. :o

Next monday I have 3hrs of maths followed by 2.5hrs of General studies(compulsory 5th as level at out school :/ )
then I have physics, economics(all 3 modules, resitting m1.) and maths s1. :(

AS AQA Spec A? If so I did that yesterday too - the one with the seven springs?

Had a General Studies exam (Society Politics and the Economy) on Monday, hated it because I'm hopeless at essay style things. Had the Physics practical yesterday of course. Remaining:

AS General Studies x 2 next Monday
AS Maths C2 Next Monday
AS Maths S1 sometime in about 2 weeks I think
AS Chemistry in about 2 weeks (3 modules, Edexcel iirc)
AS Physics (2 modules - M2 and M3)
AS D&T Systems and Control (SCT1 and SCT3)

Got both Physics and D&T Modules on the same day so that's five hours of exams :(

Not happy with that.. we have to do all 3 maths modules in one go :/ not able to take them in january :/

Also, not able to do systems/control technology (i'm doing resistant materials) as the girls that join our school(male only until 6th form) do rm only apparently and haven't covered the SCT stuff :/

RM as level is easier then systems/control gcse which I did

2x physics + 3x economics on one day = 6 hours :(
2x maths + 2x general studies on one day = 5 1/2 hours.. :(

19th June = Unit 5 ICT (2hr)
25th June = Unit 5 English Language (2.5hr)
27th June = Unit 6 English Language (2hr)

Thats all i have this year :o

Monday was GS - Went well
Wends was Physics Practical - Again, went well.

Monday 21st - Maths @ 9 - Last 2 General Studies at 2.
Friday 25th - Geog @ 2 - 3 hours
June 5th - Stats S1 @ 2
June 8th - Physics @ 2

Not quite A-level yet, but my Philosophy GCSE exam went horribly wrong. Managed to write 2 pages for my first answer in half an hour, but then for the next 3 they got gradually shorter and shorter, and less information filled. Tbh with that exam I'll be surprised if I even get a B.

I know people usually put down their exams so they don't get disappointed, but that isn't actually a fake modesty thing, I really did badly.

I've not had any of mine yet. :(

I still have:

Maths: M1
Maths: C4 + comprehension paper
Physics: "The clockwork universe "
Physics: "Field and particle physics"
Physics: Synoptic
Chemistry: Unit 6
Chemistry: Food Science

only done my Graphics AS exam so far..

i have a bit of a gap until there my AS business resit then a 10 day gap till my REAL A2 exams start!!! :(

I'm scared :(

Did you happen to do the general studies featuring such exciting questions as the one about poppies and the one about the NHS? that's the one I did, biggest waste of time going imo.

Am in high school Year 10 but due to how our school works we got the opperutinity to do AS Computing. as one of our options for the last two years, having previously done the GCSE in year 9.

Got my AS Computing module 1 test on tuesday, not hugely worried but am doing some revision.

Ah memories of doing my A-levels last year :D It's so awesome when they're finally over! I think I only had about 7 exams including General Studies.

I'm in Y11 and am doing Maths accelerated by one year. Next monday i've got C1 & C2 in the morning then S1 in a few weeks. C1 and C2 are finally coming together, we just finished the C2 course last wednesday but im runnin gout of past papers to do before monday but enjoying this revision surprisingly :D

I did. Agreed entirely, waste of time. I have a real problem when writing essays, in that everytime I think of something I think "Nah that's too obvious" but then of course it's actually a valid point.

Just had AS biology practical review paper.

EASIEST EXAM EVAR! \o/

Basically you get the questions a week before and then you can almost take the answers in with you when you take in the written up practicals you've done.

I think it's more to make sure you actually DID the practical rather than test your knowledge.
