A more relaxing type of game?

Braid is quite relaxing, they play classical music in the background and it's a fantastic puzzle game that relies on time travel.

Mirrors Edge and Osmos... I totally forgot I had Osmos. These two and definite chill out tools on both ends of the spectrum.

The Settler 2 Remake (generations, I think it's called, but I'm not certain).
X3 - Terran Conflict, if you avoid the conflict
The Void - Really slow FP-StrangeGame

Settlers 2 10'th year anniversary?

X3tc, I only like the music in Kingdom End sector, and really despise the docking music! Drives me nuts. Its peaceful, but somehow its interface and menus systems are too "clinical" and messy at the same time... I want my space filled with something interseting... Anyway still play it from time to time.

Mirrors edge. Any time I just need to chill out and relax I just put on some suitable music and play it.

You don't feel like smashing things up when you fail a jump? :p

Sim City 4 is quite relaxing. Same with Cities XL and I think there is a new one that just came out.

Point and click games - Sam and Max, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, all of those. Grim Fandango in particular I've happily played for a chilled out evening with a beer before now.

Maybe I just suck at P&C adventures, but the Sam & Max games had me tearing my hair out at points :p

Still, awesome games :)

Yeah monkey islands were pretty hard for me and I couldnt get very far at all in grim fandango despite playing it numerous times over the last few years.

Agree with this chap totally. I have nothing against Osmos (in fact I'm the one who started the thread about it being cheap on GFWL), but it can get very frustrating at times.........

Still your own experience may vary.......
