Asus have lifted the SI only restriction from their epic X99-S Motherboard. Similar to the Deluxe in specification, the X99-S comes in at a much more aggressive price point.

I saw the bundle this motherboard with the i7 5820K for only £480. The CPU is around £299 so it is obviously that people would buy the bundle rather than the motherboard alone in an order.

Edited: LOL the price of that bundle just went up to £506.

All jokes aside, this is a gorgeous board and very well priced.
 
3 cards would be slots 1,3,6 depending on what speed lanes they are, unless you had single slot cards with water blocks on. :)
 
Asus haven't done anything yet, we've heard nothing, official or not, either.

If/When Asus make a move on price then we will no doubt be told immediately.

However, this would currently make very little sense, as you can see from our website, Asus can't currently produce enough boards to satisfy demand.
