As much as I dislike remakes, this is one i've got no problem with. I recently watched through the old freddy films and they've aged terribly, so will be first in que to see this when it comes out.

Also very excited about Jackie Earle Hailey as freddy, not sure he'll play it as much for laughs as Robert Englund, hope he has a darker edge to him.

Interesting, do they allude to Kruger being innocent in this version?

Kind of like the Halloween remake.

Like how they showed how young Mike was abused and bullied

I prefer my killers to be pure evil for no reason other then them being devil spawn thank you very much

The original is still a frightening film due to Freddy's supernatural abilities. He is a true 'bad guy' and gives me the creeps to this day.

Im unsure about this after seeing Michael Bay's attempt at friday the 13th, which i thought was naff tbh! Ill give it a look though and pass judgement after...

This could be interesting... the original concept was incredibly powerful...

"From Producer Michael Bay"

Ah. Oh dear.

"Those aren't ideas! Those are special effects!"
"I... don't... understand the difference..."
"I know you don't".

Am I the only one who thought the trailer looked distinctly average and just another reason to lazily milk another old franchise! ...and Jackie Earle Haley makes Freddy look like a burnt midget, he just doesnt seam to have the right build, the blonde girl almost looks bigger than him! I'm sure if she just pushed her hand onto his forehead he'd be swipe away with his blade fingers without even touching her! LOL
