Is there any way to check and see if the EC FW Update Tool has been run?

Never mind, found it online. In case anyone else searches for this, edit the uiset.ini file and change:

AutoFlash=1

to be:

AutoFlash=0

Then you can run the IFU update tool and under the settings tab, read the contents of the ROM which will give the EC FW version. However, the system will reboot after doing so, just as it did automatically when applying the FW update.

Yeah, it's one of the reasons I've just pulled the trigger on the X570 Aorus Ultra instead.

Thought about getting x470 gaming 7 & a cheap AM4 cpu, flash the bios & return the cpu but couldn't be bothered with the hassle.

Is anyone else having issues with the BIOS resetting from a cold boot on the Gaming 7? It takes an age to boot from cold stuck at 00 on the Debug then eventually boots but all my BIOS setting are lost.

Updated to BIOS 41C but the issue remains.

Edit: Actually if I switch to the 2nd BIOS it seems happier and it holding the settings.

Ok guys question
If i update to latest Bios and instal a 3rd gen cpu and it at some point it fails to boot and swaps over to the backup bios what would happen?
I assume that the backup bios would be older non compatible with the new cpu:confused:
