In light of it being 5 years today since my brother died as you can tell from the other thread I posted, I wrote a poem.

Untitled

These past five years have gone so fast,
I hope memories always last,
You were my funny big brother,
Who had a weirdness like no other,
A fascination for fire,
An attitude I admired,
Obsessed with cars like Ferrari's,
And alcoholic drinks like JD,
With so much determination,
To fight the cruel cancer head on,
Your life- what a horrible cost,
When unfortunately you lost,
There is not much else I can do,
But love, miss and remember you.

That's really great. You and your family are so brave, much braver than me who was holding back the tears reading that poem just so that the office wouldn't think I'm crazy.

I never had the privilege of knowing your brother, but I feel sure he would be very proud of you. It is a very moving poem written from the heart. Love to you and your family.

Really touching poem. And especially for the people who never had the chance to talk to Zoltan, if you read some of his older posts and the stuff he used to talk about then it really is a touching poem.

I'm sure he can read it wherever he is. :)

Never knew him but that poem put the hairs up on my arms when I read it.

Thoughts go out to you and the rest of your family on the anniversary - look after each other and you are right, memories will never ever leave you.

Keep your chin up and keep remembering the good times.
