A Price me thread...

Just wondering if anyone can suggest how much I should be looking to save in order to get my bike test done this summer.

I am looking at direct access, theory etc plus helmet and a decent set of leathers inc gloves and boots. I can't break the bank but don't want to buy cheap rubbish either.

Got to get it done this summer due to the fact I have been told its all changing later in the year although I am yet to read up on that.

£550 for DAS
£35 for theory(though not exactly sure how much it is)
£150 for semi decent helmet, don't spend under £100
£70-100 for boots
£50 for gloves
£250 for leathers

of course you can shop around for bargains in the clothing dept, what you spend there is really up to you.. most kit should be enough to get you started.
