Yes pretty much any noise tbh, I can sleep with kids crying, loud music, random bangs. The noise isnt the problem its the reason behind it which is annoying me!

On my second week day in the flat, he banged on my door and I opened, he told me I was making too many banging noises, I asked him what were they? He told me I was being unsociable, I told him I wasn't trying to be noisey but this is the time I have to get up for work so theres nothing I can do.

They were no more bangings after that untill about 1 or 2 weeks ago.

I tried talking to him today and he ran off like I said, I have been informed by the Anti-Social Behavior people not to contact him again and just contact the police, which I will do on the way home tonight.

So lets run through a couple of good immature things to do...

Bear trap

Tray of catfood outside his door

Something sticky or sharp concealed behind a poster on the back of your door

Dog poo through his letterbox (although yours will do)

Fish hooks in the carpet, lets hope he's barefoot eh ;)

Diving boots off eBay. Really heavy ones. If you're going to bang around, you might as well do it properly

On a different note, we had this problem at home with the next door neighbors (my parents own their house but the one next to ours is privatly rented)

When they were playing really loud music at 3am my dad phone the police and the guy came banging on our door at home (I was about 8 or 9) punches were thrown and the guy stood on my dads foot and ran off, my dad still has problems as the guy broke his foot.

moral of this. If your going to open the door to someone hostile always wear shoes.....I have my rigger boots next to the door with steel toe caps :D

you guys are all geeks with the webcam and cctv talk, smash his head in with a spade and make sure nobody is there so its his word against yours, also make sure you make the complaint to the police first saying he came round banged on your door again and then tried to attack you

He ran when I opened the door this time, not sure about the others. I want to see if he does this on saturday as it will really get to me then, (haven't been in my flat past 2 weekends).

put it this way if i wanted someone "done in" i would just call a few of my boys, i also have the word gangster tattooed on my right forearm in chinese symbols (it's our "gangs" sign), this doesnt make me a gangster but im not willing to discuss openly what does, i dont wanna prove any of that stuff either

im sure i posted a pic of my tattoo's somewhere on this forum

wow that means you have friends who will fight for you, im pretty sure 99% of the people on here know people like that.

Hell I know crap loads of people like that, getting someone "done in" as you put it is not a gangsters trait.

I am not going to argue over the technicalities of what you think a gang is but you will come across people who will kill you if you keep going on the way you do.

I have a weird neighbor who complains about noise when I am not making any. the people I live next door to don't work and complain when I turn the TV or music on in the late morning or in the afternoon at weekends.

They don't seem to realise some people have to get up in the morning and also don't stay in bed until 2pm at weekends.

They also have 4 dogs which I don't like but to be fair they are quiet.


This guy sounds like a nutter but this is the job of the police to sort it out.

Me and my mates used to knock on a guys door on the way home from the pub (he was a weird Christian guy and deserved it, also we were only about 17.(that is another story))

the local bobby as we call him came and told me to stop lol.

I would try and have a friendly word with him, surely if he can't say when the noise is and what it is then it is OK to take it to the next level. IE police, but they might not do anything.

In which case give him a wack. assuming you have reported it to the police and he keeps doing it you arn't going to get told off if you hit him, just say he tried to punch you, it was 5 in the morning etc and you defended yourself.

I hope this is as simple as the local copper saying "leave it out" or something similiar, but I doubt it.

well 2 people i know where shot a few months ago to send a sign to someone i know, he had to pay them £20,000 to stop them from going after him, dont wanna give out any more info on the matter, but ever since that everythings been fine, plus the guy that did the shootings is now in jail and he himself was also shot a month or two later, and a thread was created by someone else on this forum saying that someone had shot their street up
