Evening all,

My 3060ti arrives tomorrow and I debating changing from using 1 split 6+2 too 2 x single 6+2.

I've used the split cable for all my GPUs over the past 5+ years and never had an issue but have seen a few posts on Reddit where people are advising against it.

As I've got to open up the case tomorrow I thought it would be the prime opportunity to do it.

The only problem I do have is that I don't have 2 single 6+2 cables but I do have 2 split 6+2 cables. The problem I would have if I did that would be that I would have 2 ends just dangling there. The case has no window so not fussed on looks but not sure where that stands on 'safety'!

Any suggestions or should I just keep using the split cable?

For reference, I have a Corsair AX760 Platinum PSU and using the supplied cables.

Thanks!

The 3070fe only used a single 8 pin cable going into the custom 12 pin in the board. I would not expect the 3060ti to use more power so a single cable should be fine.
