A quick "working out MPG" question..:)

How do you work out the MPG over miles / litres?

For e.g. what MPG would a car be that did 200 miles for £25 ?

depends on how much the fuel cost..

assuming 107.9 then thats 39mpg.

Miles per gallon = Miles/gallons

4.546 litres in a gallon.

Divide the £25 by how ever much you paid per liter to find out how many litres.

200 miles / £25 / 0.21 (gallon/litres?) = 38-9mpg ish i guess, k!

0.21 would be the number of gallons you get for £1.
