Personally I don't really care about the barn going, it's an OK at best place to watch racing from, ok it's good for sheltering in the rain but I've been going to the Pod since I was 6months old, near enough brought up there and raced since I was 12, I'm not sorry to see the end of the barn, compared to how the rest of the track has progressed and developed the barn looks, old, knackered and un-professional. Getting planning permission to do anything at the Pod is hard enough so there's gotta be give and take and co-opperation with Bedfordshire County Council and Health & Safety, basically partly this means there can be further improvements to the facility in the coming years while also making the place a whole lot tidier

also about the Health & Safety grounds, I'm sure I've been through this before but all it takes is a small stone to get thrown up by the jet car (which happens constantly) and for that stone to hit someone in the eye, they go blind in the eye, sue the track and you can probably say good bye to Santa Pod Raceway

As sad to see it go as I am it is the last really dated looking part of the racetrack. I don't think it's ever even had a lick of paint in the 30 years it has been there

Sad to see it go, but at least it had a good few months longer than expected .
Having been viewing cars from the barn during burnouts I have had stones come flying back at a rate of knots and hit me, so that going in someones eye..and well, it doesnt need anyone to say why its going really.
Also, its probably not the best backdrop when looking down the track / taking pictures (mainly thinking for the sponsers side of things here)
