A8N-SLI Premium Silicon SATA Controller HELP

New build, XP 64bit no OS/Mobo updates yet as just testing, will do full install and updates later
Two IDE HDD's as master/slave
one Sata on Nvidia sata 1

The above works ok

My problem is this,
2-port sata extension on Silicon sata_raid 3 and 3
any drive I connect to this port does not work, if I connect my Sata HDD to the above internal Silicon sata_raid 1 or 2 it also does not work, at this time I am wanting to use both the Nvidia and Silicon ports with single HDD's
Is there a bios setting or are the Silicon ports only for raid, I tried to disable the Silicon sata controller in bios but this did not work

I was looking to do the same on my SLi Deluxe, but never got around it. I just had to hook it up to the 3rd nForce SATA port in the end. It would run in RAID fine, just not a single drive.

I think I've sorted it
I set the HDD as a JBOD in the bios raid setup, but what will happen when I add another HDD, I will try later
