I am totally new to all this so please bear with me (I've always used an ADSL modem).

Just got a Linksys router. There are 2 ports on the back panel, one I believe to be an Nvidia driver and the other some Marvell Yukon thing I've installed off the mobo's CD.

Which should I use? Just subscribed to Newnet and having a probs getting out onto the web.

Cheers

doesn't really matter which driver is which.....any Ethernet port will work. Tho i don't know many Mobos with 2 other than server boards. I'm guessing one is probably a modem and the cable won't fit in that anyway.

nah for some reason skilldinbop most motherboards (socket 939 atleast) the higher end of the market gave them all 2 ethernet ports, as for why i dont know as if you wanted to connected three machines together you'd buy a switch or hub
anyone either one will do as skill says.

i have the same mobo, when i used the Marvell Yukon it made my websufring slow and sometimes a quick pause before it goes onto the website, swapped to the Nvidia driver and everything has been going fine

The nVidia's firewall app seems to have an issue with corrupting downloads.

This Asus A7N8X Deluxe has 2 eth ports (one nVidia, the other a crappy 3Com).
