Woman on GMTV this morning who has 6 kids in a two bedroomed house, no sign of the dad just lots of children.

She's on there complaining that the council wont move her somewhere bigger. Two of the children looked at least under 3 (one was just a baby). Why not just stop having babies if you can't afford to house them yourself???

I cant afford to have children, would dearly love one, but I dont go and get myself pregnant so that the council could provide me somewhere to live.

Even the presenter from GMTV wasnt picking up on the fact that she didnt have to have all those kids, just that it wasnt fair on all the kids having to share bedrooms etc.
What is this world coming to? Why should I have to pay for someone elses kids?
Rant over!

I saw that as well, my missus has it on in the morning  and I thought exactly the same. I would have people like that forcibly sterilised. STFU and stop breeding.

This is one of the reasons why I completely refuse to watch GMTV. It just seems to showcase the UK's greatest outcasts and morons, and dumbs it down to a level that even the simplest of benefit-cheat scum will understand

Chances are she on benefit so dosent have to worry about being able yo afford them.

But 6 kids in a 2 bed house - im fairly sure the council would be legally obliged to give them a bigger property as they'd be overcrowded

But thats the point!!!!
Why do we have to pay for someone elses children when she cant afford them herself!!!
I might not even be able to have children, but shes there churning them out like a factory! And then expecting the rest of us to fork out for them!

Totally agree, if you cant afford kids you shouldn't have them

Stupid bitch, why on earth should the council give her a larger property just because she can't keep her legs closed?

A change needs to be made to the way the state provides support. While I believe we should help people there has to be limits. Why not just impose a cap on the number of children you can get benefit for. First two children you get help for, afterthat nothing. If you have more kids and as a result you struggle, tough titty.

The problem then comes though that inevitably it's the children that end up suffering, not the parents who can't possibly do without their 40 cigs and 4L of Cider a day.

I agree though, something needs to done. As to what, alas, I have no idea :(

People like that breed in order to get the benefits and houses. The Victorians (who often seem more enlightened than we do) had the right idea, in the workhouse with her.

I agree, but there must come a point where the welfare state washes it's hands with you and tells you "you'r on your own". If not we just encourage this kind of abuse, which whill eventually bring down the whole system, hurting many that deserve help.

I agree that its wrong that we pay for the parents, but has anyone got a realistic solution? Not wanting to start an argument but the focus for support is to provide for the children. Its not their fault they were born to parent / parents who can't afford them.

We can't take the kids of the mother, we can't sterilise the mother, and can't just decide to stop supporting the kids, any one have a sensible idea what the state could do?

Saying that..there is a woman over here with 12 kids, (expecting her 13th!!) she doesn't work, nor does the father, who both claim off benefit. they have a lovely house with loads of space a nice kitchen etc etc.. god it makes me mad. i had to pay 215,000 for a 2 bedroom semi!

Alas I don't believe there is way that people can be discouraged from breeding like rabbits, while not being able to support themselves. Some people would argue that education is the answer, but I don't see how that can work, when at the same time the state financially encourages reckless behaviour.

I suspect that once people have learned that the state will not assist you, the desire to breed recklessly will fall away. Unfortunately a generation of children from these fools will have to suffer first. But IMO it's worth it, lazy scum are discrediting the whole welfare state. So much so that many people think it should be dismantled. While I believe the leaches are in the minority, the damage they do is completely disproportionate.

I do think it is a sensible idea to remove the children as she is obviously a bad mother for inflicting the conditions on the children. I do think it is a good idea to sterilise her, the costs will be significantly less than the costs to society of her having more children and the current ones growing up into the same lifestyle. I do think it is a good idea to stop supporting the kids as well; a charity or some do-gooder church type will jump in and look after them and in doing so cause a huge media frenzy thereby exposing the disgraceful actions of some sections of society.

But, of course, we have to be all liberal and pc over such issues whilst ignoring the fact that it is our tolerance of such parasites that allows them to carry on. If we stopped the pandering then the problem wouldn't exist.

The solution, give them a dirty great big house with eight bedrooms and benefits so that the lazy **** can lie on her back all day with her legs open popping out sprogs as she likes. What do we do when she has filled that house up?

I would sterilise the kids as well.

What else do you expect from GMTV? That show has some of the poorest quality reporting I've ever seen on breakfast TV. If ever there was a show that Sir Patrick Moore was talking about recently, this would be it.

Oh, but remember these kids will be paying for your pension in future! ;)
