Hello guys,

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but i hope someone can help.
I bought 4 gigs of the Geil ultra ddr2 pc6400.
I am trying to setup the memory times manually but dont know in which order the numbers should be put into timing boxes!
i understand the memory timings should be at 4-4-4-4-12
PLease tell me what to enter in the following;

CAS Latency Time (TCL) =
Ras# to CAS # Delay (TRCD) =
Ras# Precharge (Trip) =
Pre Charge Delay (tras) =
Command rate =

thanks again

CAS Latency Time (TCL) = 4
Ras# to CAS # Delay (TRCD) = 4
Ras# Precharge (Trip) = 4
Pre Charge Delay (tras) = 12
Command rate = 1t if you have the choice. Tho 2t will allow better clocks.

thanks for the info, the system booted up but gave an error message first time! However i told it to start windows as normal and it seems to be okay everytime i reboot.

How do i get the pc6400 ram to run at 800 mhz using an intel E6600?

If the FSB is at stock (266 or 1066) you need to select the 2:3 memory divider. It might be called ddr800 or memory multiplier x3 on your board.

You'll also need to set your memory voltage (vdimm) to 2.1v for the Geil.

Hi Cob,

Okay i tried what you said when i select ddr2 800 the numbers show as 407mhz.
Then when i try to reboot, vista gives me an error message saying a kernal is missing.
So i have to select the speed setting rather than ddr2 800.
i put up the vdimm to 2.10v
