Abit AW9D-MAX Native Crossfire

Abit AW9D-MAX - says it supports crossfire but it dosent really make a big point of it if that makes any sense. so what im asking is does it propperly, fully, effectivly support Crossfire? Becuase i wouldnt mind saving a few quid and getting it instead of the P5K

Yes, & it does so at x8+x8 instead of at x16+ x4.
Should also come with an SLI bridge in the box as it can run SLI too given appropriate drivers.

Talking of those little bridges, do crossfire ones come with mobos or cards these days ?

thanks yeah just read in another thread.

Appearently X1950 Pro dosent need the bridges thou. hope this is true - since my current one didnt come with one so i suspect the next one wont either!

Kind in mind Intel 975X boards don't clock as well as P35, especially with quads.

Yeah, think im gonna go for the P5K instead anyway

although im a little peeved about the crossfire bridge situation.. I'll give ocuk a ring tomorrow and see if they can sort me out
