ABit IP35 pro bios update ....HELP!!!!

Hi, i have just decided to update my bios from Ver 14 to Ver 17. I did it with a floppy and it all seemed to go ok. Followed instructions and cleared Cmos and booted into bios and set optimized defaults. Rebooted with 1 stick memory and set mem voltages timings etc. All aok till booted into win vista 32 bit and windows reloaded display drivers (Nvidia 88gt) then it rebooted and went to BSD. I have swapped drivers yet still get warnings about "video driver stopped working and recovered" I have tried booting into Win 7 64 bit on a seperate HD with the same problem.. the phoenix bios ver on bootup is 106.74 which i assume is the equivilent of ver 17. If i try to run the win experience rating it will also BSD.. Looks like i am up the creek .:-( any suggestions? should i just put a new graphics card in? can i assume the bios update is OK ?
Thanks again in advance guys... :-)
PS.. i cant play any games, COD, MW etc without it locking etc.

as it's booting & going into Windows it sounds more like a software problem than mobo.
what's the BSD reference?

Hi Buff thanks for the reply, i am not sure how to obtain the BSD ref, earlier it would keep the BSD screen whilst writing the mem to disk bu now it closes so quick i couldnt make a note. also i could only make it BSD in Win 7 and that was when trying to update the Win exp rating.. The bios update appears OK and is dated Phoenix bios Ver 6 ..05/26/08 but as the fault appears in 2 seperate OS (Vista 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit) could it be bios settings?
i have only set the mem voltage (2.0 v and timings 4-4-4-15) havent altered any CPU settings.plus i am only using 2 sticks of memory ( in slots 1+3)
thanks again.

Hi Buff, havent tried increasing settings as i am jus running with 2 sticks at the moment..
Wish i knew if it was just the card.. i would return it to OCUK for testing.. or buy an ATI 5770 if i knew it would be OK.. its frustrating, i dont think the Bios update has caused a problem i think the problem was already there. Can you update the bios to an earlier version again? Thanks for any info :-)

you can flash the BIOS to an earlier version if you want but if it isn't a mobo problem it won't solve anything ...
