Morning all,

Yesterday by on board sound from my Abit IP35 Pro decided it only wants to work out of one side. Nothing has changed on my PC at all.

I've checked all the levels etc, and if I put 100% on the side that's broken, it does work very quitely with very distorted sound.

It's the same with headphones and speakers etc, if I very loosely put the headphone jack in I can get sound from both but it is very quiet.

Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?

I do unplug/plug-in my headphones and AMP on a very regular basis, I guess this could probably be the cause.

I guess if I wire up my front ports that may fix it

Just thought i'd bump this again as I never got an answer and it's still fudges.

I suppose it's an excuse to buy a new PC :D

My old IP-35pro started to do this, I could not sort it out, so I popped a soundcard into it, disabled the on-board and subsequently sold the PC to my sister! :D - It still works just fine. :)

Cheers, it's time for a new PC anyways but until then it's pretty irritating if I fancy some games (which isn't often, but I do right now!).

same thing happened to the same board for me and then i lost all sound.

I've got an MSI board that my daughter has killed by constantly plugging in & un-plugging her headphones......

Small price to pay to not listen to her crap! :p:D

Spare soundcards are always handy. :)
