Ableton Live 9

Cheers, I see, analogue modelled compressor, lets hope it won't use up too much CPU.

I like the dry/wet control though, saves extra fiddly setting up with racks.

As for the EQ, the EQ in 8 sounds good to me, so it will be interesting how it compares, I like the 48db/oct high and low shelf also.

When is it gonna be out? :D

What benefits does it have over Reason?

I'm quite curious :)
I must admit I'm tempted to get Reason 6.5 as it's cheaper than Ableton. I like Reason because it's so easy to use, and I've been using it since v2.

I suggest giving the 30 day trail of Ableton a go, it will do things that Reason will not, and it's good for performing live, and MaxMSP allows for some powerful custom instruments and effects. :)

The Glue is an Awesome sounding SSL style compressor which I use a lot.
Been looking forward to Live9 for a llllllllllllllooooong time, enjoying the Bitwig beta's too. ; )

Nice, the SSL have quite a following so I'll look forward to trying it out.

The Push controller looks nice also, it's just a shame it's 500 euro however, I think I'm gonna stick with my APC20 for now. :)

So jelly you got into the Beta! How are you finding it? For me the best thing it trumps Live for is the multi layered Piano Roll. That would be very useful.

Live9/Push looks great, was a big announcement which they did right, even with the 50 minute 'Apple' style presentation which is now up on YT :D

Anyone wondering about the new additions or just want to know more about Live in general check it out if you have the time:

Out Q1 next year. I love geeking out about this stuff.

Thinking of selling my APC40 for funds towards Push. Need something to replace the channel faders though.

I have huge doubts about the bitwig beta as while I have no doubt there is a NDA, nothing has been leaked other than what Bitwig have shown and there is serious concerns that it's vaporware as they drummed up a massive beta, failed to provide and have been pretty quiet. Fair enough some writers have got into the beta but it's sounding like a lot of hype.

I think that's a big part of why I'm going to splash out on Live 8 Suite soon. Bitwig have had there chance to keep me from spending my money but not enough incentive to.

Max4Live included in suite is great though. Can't wait to mess around with that.
