Abort SBS migration?

I'll try and keep this explanation short, I recently started an SBS migration, I got as far as joining a new Essentials 2012 machine to an SBS 2003 domain as a DC, didn't go any further than this however due to an untimely death in the family, the chances of finishing the migration in the time limit (SBS gives you 21 days to finish and remove the SBS box AFAIK) are not good, is it possible to just remove the Essentials 2012 machine from the domain and go back to normal?

According to a NetDOM query the SBS2003 box still holds all the FSMO roles, does that mean the 21 day timer hasn't started yet? finding conflicting information on this online.

I'm reasonably sure SBS can happily co-exist in a domain with more than one DC, but as you found out the FSMO roles etc. have to be on that SBS box. You should be fine.
