About to move from ADSL24 to Sky

Bah 7 days testing up today and still sitting at 11204kbps down but 1112kbps up.
Will phone sky tomorrow and tell em thats no where near good enough considering my line quality and basically half their estimated speed. I wont be happy with anything under 15meg tbh.

What are the full stats?

You can't really demand a certain speed, there are too many external factors.

Best way really, when i went through the 10 day training period few years back, the software caped me to 3Mb, which i wasn't to bothered about as it still beat my old isp, and well cheaper too.

Think i had a few issues can't remember what with gave sky a call to sort them out, and at that time they said let me see if you are getting the best speeds, after a few tweaks i was bumbed upto 5mb.

So yeh never take the testing phase speed at face value, always call them to get it tweaked, but don't go into the call expecting a certain speed, they will do there best, but no speed is guaranteed as there is so many factors in it.

Bah some people really can't scroll up :rolleyes: so here's the stats right now.

DSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 10238 kbps 1114 kbps
Line Attenuation 16.0db 11.7db
Noise Margin 6.1db 7.9db

Had a look online at the sky control pannel and they are saying sunday is the end of my testing time. Still the best i've seen is 11.2Mb. I've checked it a few times every day, also never had a disconnect yet so it's not exactly pushing my line.

Erm the last stats you posted where:

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4095 kbps 605 kbps
Line Attenuation 16.0db 11.4db
Noise Margin 14.5db 17.6db

Which are different to you current stats......... so yeah that's why we asked again :rolleyes:

Anyway, are you plugged into the master socket?
