dye shot caps aren't designed to work with backlit boards.

obviously you can still use them but it doesnt shine through the legend like the stock keycaps do.

the trade off you make is this:

- dyeshot caps are hardwearing and you cant feel the legend

- painted plastic caps work with backlights but go shiny/wear after minimal use

personally i prefer PBT but you cont have everything when it comes to keycaps unless you spend a LOT.

These ABS sets look amazing quality, but part of my problem is needing the hardwearing (as I like my keys labelled!) of dyeshot with the glow you get from PBT! :(

Put me down for some PBT! I bought a set of these and they're not a solution for my backlighting... :(

Now do I sell or keep as these are still amazing quality keycaps! Arg! :rolleyes::D

That's a very expensive hobby, I would suggest buying multiple cheap items from OcUK and eating the free haribo as a cheaper alternative! ;)
 
Will these be compatible with a Razer Blackwidow? I'd love to replace all my keys with either blue or white key caps.

If the Blackwidow has Cherry MX switches and you only want to change the 'regular' ISO layout 109 keys, yes.

I don't know Razer (refuse to use the brand) so you'd have to check details yourself.
