Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010, Yas Island Marina Circuit - Race 19/19

Sounds like the Russians are coming into F1 in a big way.

The Russian car company that are the new title sponsors of Virgin Racing claim to have bought a controlling interest in the team. Beardy Branson getting out already?

Still Team Lotus Remault in black and gold.. :D They have missed a trick though.
2010 - Green and yellow (Team Lotus)
2011 - Red, gold and cream (Gold Leaf Team Lotus)
2012 - Black and gold (John Player Team Lotus)
2013 - Green, white, gold and red (Martini Racing Team Lotus)
2014 - Blue, red and silver (Team Essex Lotus)
2015 - Yellow and blue (Camel Team Lotus)
2016 - White and green (Team Lotus)
2017 - 2 tone green, yellow and black (Team Lotus)
2018 - White, yellow green and black (Team Lotus)
2019 - Green and yellow... and so on... ;)

Only down side is the change to black and gold adds more credibility to the rumours of Bruno Senna becoming a Team Lotus driver. Damn.... :(

I dunno, I wouldn't mind seeing what Bruno could do with a car that isn't a starting money special. If he's crap after switching to a decent car, then he should get the hell out of F1 and allow someone more deserving of the seat to get a drive (Chandok :)).

i agree with the refueling ban being good but i think they should reduce the pit crew and have half as many on the tires, so you change one side then the other, or front two then back two.

is it nascar who do this?

they should def open up engine development, get given an amount of fuel, either make ur engine powerful and use all the fuel or fuel efficient and carry less fuel or a mixture.

Webber to win preferably. Otherwise Vettel.

I would love to see Webber win, but as much as I hate Alonso as a person I think he will be hard to beat. I think he was spot on in Silverstone when he said that he would win the title. He may be a massive douche but he is one hell of a driver. I think its going to be a hell of a race, although not for racing itself but because of the rivalry between Vettel & Webber, Alonso and his engine situation, Vettel and his engine worries. I just hope that it won't be a bore fest :D

But Alonso winning won't feel right, a la "Alonso is faster than you". If he hadn't have got those extra points, he wouldn't have a chance now?

I think if Vettel gifts Webber the win, he will do it in the most obvious way possible. He will make it clear that he is the team-leader and he is gifting his less capable team-mate the win.

Remember, Vettel (like all top line drivers) have huge egos and don't like to get beaten. They crave adulation. And if he gifts a win to Webber, he will want to make it clear to every viewer that he is allowing Webber to win, as a gesture of goodwill. Senna did this for Berger (in 1990, when they were together at McLaren). Mansell did exactly the same thing (for Patrese, at Williams in 1992). In both cases, the No.1 drivers made it abundantly clear that they were "allowing" their lesser team-mates to overtake them, so that their team-mate could win.

I do not believe there are going to be any "conserve fuel" shenanigans, which McLaren seem to enjoy using. RBR will allow Vettel to make his own decision. If Vettel was in Webber's position however, I firmly believe that RBR would issue the order to Webber, to let Vettel pass (even if Vettel is slower).

It is also likely that Vettel will make the switch at the last possible moment, possibly even the last corner.

As somebody pointed out above, Webber has to consider himself favourite for the title. I'm hoping that Alonso can do something very special in this race, as I do not believe a driver like Webber, who is being so regularly outperformed in races and qualifying by his team-mate, should win the World title.

If it remains dry on race day, I think that the race is going to be a procession and a true borefest...similar to Bahrain. However, the audience shall be watching the race, purely to see who wins the title.

I'd like to see them get rid of mandatory pit stops and also half the race distance. 2 hours is the limit atm, i think 1 hour of racing is more than enough.
