"Asking to consider"?
WTF?
Is this normal? I suppose this belongs in another thread but why was he in a 5 bedroom house if there are only 4 people in it.
And why on earth can a council not just tell someone "You're moving to another, smaller house, tomorrow. Get packing" or simply "Get out". ??
I guess there are many situations that could lead to there being one less member of any given family. And there could be any number of nutters waiting to fill ol' Hamza's boots (well it wouldn't be his gloves would it) and they'd just be looking to resize again and crying about their human rights.
While I think that it's right in general for families to be allowed time in case of bereavement or divorce etc, the life tenancy does seem excessive where there is no change after a certain period.
It’s not Nazi Germany and the tenancy agreement prevents them from doing so.
Because moving a smaller family into a smaller more suitable house is fascist, while allowing them to remain indefinitely while a larger family stays stuck in a house that's too small for them makes perfect sense.
