acer 19 inch widescreen monitor.

hi.
is anybody using an acer widescreen monitor with xbox 360.
are colours slightly washed out,as i think you can only use vga cable with this monitor.
at the moment i am using a crt monitor and colours are a little washed out.
i am thinking about buying the acer monitor.

i think i might beg steal or borrow and get a hdtv.
any thoughts on what to buy.
