Acer Aspire laptop backlight stopped working?

The backlight seems to be working again been using it since last night. it would normally flicker a few seconds and go off. however I see some redness on screen. Can any1 pinpoint me the exact problem?? wonder if the backlight still needs repair??

replace your lcd. that's lcd problem (back light gone)

I might have to then, I've yet to open my old LCD up.

I think im gna open the Screen up and C if theres a CCFL backlight if there is I'll replace it.
