Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 question.

I'm thinking of buying the Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers as they seem to be highly valued on the forum. I was just wondering if I need a soundcard to make the most out of these? If so, could someone please recommend one that synchronizes with the quality of the speakers in terms of cost?

I'm thinking of using the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3Motherboard or the MSI P55-CD53 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard for a built next month, so am wondering whether they will handle the speakers, or will still need a soundcard?

The onboard will be absolutely fine with these speakers imo.

Nps I have the Aegos and I can't hear much difference between the onboard on my IP35 Pro and with the Xonar D2, the onboard on those mobos are newer and potentially better?

Stupid question, but I'm assuming these will be fine for XP, and that the companies bring out new drivers all the time, such as for Win 7?

Yeah you'll have up to date drivers for XP and Win 7
