Adding a 2nd Monitor

Ok currently running 1 17" TFT off of my 7800GT.Never had 2 monitors before but i bit the bullet and purchased a matching TFT.

My options:

1,Install 2nd TFT and run both screens from single 7800GT.

2,Install 2nd TFT and add a 2nd 7800GT

3,As above but replace 7800GT's with a 7900GT.

Price etc really isn't a issue.I'm more concerned about being able to run CSS/BF2 on 1 screen and web,IRC on the other.

So would a single 7800GT be upto this? Would 1 card per TFT be better or is the 7900GT more than capable?

Your 7800GT will render fine whilst playing games and still cope managing Windows. I had zero performance hit when i tried it.

Ok so it will run fine,thanks for the info.Would there be a significant performance hit in terms of FPS whilst gaming?This is why im considering option 2 or 3.

No, there isn't a performance hit using two monitors off one 7800GT.
