Adding x64 print drivers - Access denied

Not sure where I'm going wrong here.

I'm trying to upload some x64 print drivers on to our print server (server 2008 x64).

It uploads them then halts with an access denied error.

We are able to upload 32bit drivers.

I've tried doing it from a 64bit server (obviously logged in as admin), I've tried adding the domain admin to the printer admin group on the server....

Still not having any of it.

Any ideas?

(Should add the server is a VM running on Linux)

Are you adding them to the server via the print management console on the x64 server rather than the printer properties?

Sounds like UAC to me. Indeed using Printer Management should prompt a UAC authentication and allow you to add drivers.
