Howdi,

Basically, I think that my Mobo may be faulty and just after a second opinion.

Every now and then my PC will restart and will not always start back up first attempt. This happens a far bit in 3D Apps, although some of that maybe Vista.

I have replaced the GPU and the PSU and it still happens from time to time. The system is at stock (C2D6400, 4GB, Hiper 600w, x1950Pro, Gigabyte DS4).

The 4 pin motherboard connector (cant think of name now :() seems to have 1 pin that has some burn damage, although this was not the case when I brought the PSU ;). It also happened to the other PSU (which works fine in a another machine).

This was running perfectly for 12 months and only started June-ish.

It seems to point to the Mobo, what do you all reckon??

Typical if it is as it just turned 14montsh old :)

Cheers

Quite possible the mobo. I was going to say I'd suspect the PSU however if you have replaced this then that rules that out. Also, if you notice a slight burn around the power connection on the mobo then that *may* be the cause of the problem. At the end of the day it's fault finding and with problems like yours (i.e. powering down or not switching on 1st attempt) I usually say PSU and/or mobo.

I'd go with the mobo on this one imo. :)
