Hi folks.
I was wondering if I could get some advice on some of the current bundle offers on OcUK, frankly when it comes to knowledge about MB's I am sadly lacking, but first, a little background as to why:
I've been plagued with constant looping sound, black screen deaths etc when playing a variety of games, sometimes I can play all day without it happening, other times I can play seconds, it is random and indiscriminate. I originally though it may be related to the PSU and upgraded to a Corsair 650w, that did nothing, so a friend gave me his ATI Radeon 4870 512mb with which I replaced the old card (A Geforce (I forget the model)) with, but no love either as the looping sound and blackscreens have turned into VPU recovers. I've tried many of the suggested fixes, including drivers, cooling and whatnot, this leads me to the conclusion that it may be just the MB getting old and showing its age, prompting me to upgrade.
And so here I am, shopping for a new MB bundle, my budget is around £200, I'm not really looking for an all bells and whistles set, just something to replace the current one that will support my current GPU and cope with being used for gaming. I should state that I am looking for a bundle, as opposed to seperate components, unless there is a very decent and compatable build within the price range.
My current system specs:
CPU Type DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, 2.66 GHz
Motherboard Name Dell Inspiron 530s
Video Adapter ATI Radeon HD 4870 (512 MB)
Audio Adapter ATI Radeon HDMI @ ATI RV770/790 - High Definition Audio Controller
Memory 2046MB (DDR2)
PSU Corsair 650w
Many thanks for your time taken in reading this.
Moyana.
