contact your bank, they may be able to allow you to do a "chargeback".
DVDsoon went from being a relatively good, if at times unbelievably cheap store to being a total joke, and from there to being about as close to outright fraudsters as is possible.
There are hundreds if not thousands of people who have been caught out by their
Pay upfront policy - not at time of posting the actual goods, but at the time you place the order.
Changes in terms and conditions - no refunds to CC, only to store credit
Having to order more stuff to make use of your store credit - only being able to use store credit for 25% of any new orders (so for every pound you have in credit with them you had to pay 3 pounds in new orders)
Not sending stuff out
Claiming to have sent hundreds of packages out (with a PP317 reference code I beleive), with hundreds of people never receiving them (I know postal services can be poor, but hundreds/thousands of items suddenly shipping after weeks of "packing" all to go missing is atad suspicious).
They then bough out DVDimport I beleive (another canadian dvd retailer) who now seem to be doing the same thing
[edit]
Rumour has it they have definately (finally) gone under, if possible defiantely contact your bank and enquire about a chargeback, as whilst they don't have to do it some banks do I beleive offer the protection as a selling point (rather than because it's legally required).
