This is my first build and I have a Cooler Master CM690 II Lite (Window Edition).
As my CPU cooler I have a Corsair H80, using this as my CPU cooler, what would be the ideal number of fans, and how should they be setup for maximum airflow in and out?
I understand you must be familiar with this case to know this but I hoped there would be someone who could help.

I have:
Ivy bridge 3570k @ 3.4Ghz
Asrock z77 extreme 4
Corsair vengeance 8Gb
Gigabyte HD7870 OC windforce

Thanks in advance.

I have the CM90 II Advanced fitted with four Cooltek Case Fans 140mm LED two to the top and the other to the side panel taking air out, with one in taking air in from the bottom, and replace the rear fan with a Cooltek Case Fans 120mm. I have an 80 mm Sharkoon Silent Eagle to the rear of the CPU taking air out. I use a fan controller. My machine runs extremely silent with loudest sound comes from the Caviar Black. By using seven fans reduces their speed accordingly, it is weird how it works the more fans I added, the quieter my machine became

Use one or two fans and mount it at the rear exhaust.
Have the fans blowing through the heatsink (one on either side) and out the back of the case.

Sorted :)

Thanks, i appreciate the feedback.
Right now it's remarkably loud, so think a fan controller is my best bet, along with some improved fans, i like the look of the pictured setup, obviously not the exact same as what i'll have, but very similar to what i want.
And i also have the H80 acting as an intake like corsair suggest but i feel I'd be better with it as an exhaust considering the amount of air i have coming into the case.

Hopefully soon enough i'll find the perfect balance of cool and quiet.

Mine;
1 fan mounted to the H50 Rad which is mounted to the rear of the case.
1 fan at the top of case blowing out (upwards)
1 fan at the bottom blowing out (downwards)
1 fan over the HDD's sucking in.

Gives me good temps... will be up for consideration when my new GPU arrives today.
