Hi, I have recently bought another HD5850 to complement my year old exsisting HD5850, the idea being to run them both in Crossfire.
My PSU is a Corsair HX620. I know its not a high wattage, but it is a good one and I believe it is capable to the job.
The problem I have is that there is only 2 PCI 6+2 cables connecting to their own sockets on the PSU.
In the graphics card box there are some PCI - Molex adapters, but I'd rather not use these, or are they not as bad as all that?

So, do I :
a) Use 2 x PCI connectors on one card and 2 x Molex adapters on the other? Or,

b) Use 1 PCI and 1 Molex adapter on each card? ( if so, does it matter which socket on the card I use?) Or,

c) Stump up the cash and buy a more capable PSU?

Your advice and comments as always will be gratefully recieved. :)

A 620w would be fine. As for the molexes, I'd use a PCI-E cable on each card, then a molex one on each too.

They'll be exactly the same as a PCI-E one as they're using the same types of cables (yellow 12v and Black neutrals).

I used to run xfired 5850s from my 620w corsair, it works fine. As has already been stated, one dedicated pcie connector to each card.
