I am really keen to have something quicker than the TDCI. I had thought about a bigger diesel engine, like 330d, but in the end I am now thinking small light edgy, VX220 's

Now my Dec 2003 Zetec-S only has 19500 miles and still in warranty and is mint, so I need to get value from it to move upwards to a VX turbo. If I trade in with a dealer, I will have to lose out twice, first they will undervalue my car, then overstate the value of theirs.

I have never bought or sold privately, so how do I go about this without getting ripped off ? How much should I expect to ask.

i'm looking for a mondy TDCi lol, but preferably the Ghia, though may swing, is yours the 130bhp version? does it have 6 speed and cruise control?
What does the Zetec S have that the Zetec doesn't?
cheers, wez

Well, before Fox is here, 130bhp ( but they leave the factory with more like 145 ). 6 spd gbox, cruise, saloon, climate control

Zetec-S has the sports suspension , more like an ST than a Ghia. 225/40R18 alloys, no fake wood, but brushed aluminium interior.

let me know what you're asking, my original budget was £6k, but i'd be willing to stretch for the right car :)

Prices from AutoTrader value your car
Dealer £9,245
Private £8,295

That is how much I will put it on Pistonheads for.
