Hello there,

After playing for an hour or so this morning, Cyberpunk now consistantly crashes. I'm betting its the outdated graphics card from 3 years ago, along with the below minimum 6GB of memory.

I have browsed through some more up to date graphics cards, but got a bit confused. I am concerned that I would end up buying something with 12 pins, but I need 6, or something. I would love some advice as to what I can and cannot actually fit into my computer without having to upgrade everything. I have no specific budget in mind, but I'm not looking to pimp out the PC, just update it a little.

Here are the specs from Overclockers:
AMD Ryzen 5 Six Core 1600 3.60GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail
Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3 AMD B350 (Socket AM4) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
Alpenfohn Brocken ECO CPU Cooler - 120 mm
Microsoft Windows 10 64-Bit DVD - OEM (MS-KW9-00139)
FAST TRACK SYSTEMS - Dispatched within 2 working days!
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C15 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black (CMK8GX4M2B3000
Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Glass Midi Tower Case - Black
Super Flower Platinum King 650W 80 Plus Platinum Power Supply - Black
Samsung 250GB 850 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps 32 Layer 3D V-NAND Solid State Drive (MZ-75E250B/EU)
Seagate BarraCuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache HDD
Asus GeForce GTX 1060 Dual OC 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Any advice would be much appreciated, as I'm a little clueless, and desperate to continue playing Cyberpunk!

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,
Michael

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £74.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

Would be the esiest upgrade as it requires 12gig of system ram. 6 gig of vram is good for 1440p ultra acording to toms hardware.

You dont say what resolution and settings your using.

An upgrade to a ryzen 5 3600 would amke a big difference to everything you play. Hard to find atm though :(

Obviously a new gpu would be good.

Nvidia
A 1660 super would be a start. Also a 2060 or 2070 (super or not). If your budget allows a nice new 3060ti would easily ace most resolutions and allow ray tracing with dlss enabled.

AMD

A 5600xt or 5700xt would be a good upgrade with a 6800 (non xt) would also ace it but at a higher price. I 6700 (when its released) would also do it at a sub £400 price (at a guess).

What do you mean by it crashes? What happens?

You should be able to see an indication of what causes the crash on the blue screen or in the event viewer under windows logs, application or system. Don't rush to spend money on a problem that is not confirmed yet.
Type event viewer in the searchbox to the left of your taskbar and take it from there.
