Advice please on posting photos.

Age must be taking its toll because I'm making a right mess of this.
I want to post some photos(for the first time) for CC on this forum. I've hosted them on ImageShack but when I preview them before posting on here I see small thumbnails that when clicked open up Imageshacks site and the photos can be seen there.

I want to be able to post photos like normal people!

post the images using the address shown when you have the pictures open fully?

I think it's a thing with Imageshack mate, not your fault. I wouldn't worry about it, most people are happy to click a link to see the photos, especially if you ask for CC.

When you get to the page with all the code on it, scroll to the very bottom where it says 'Direct link to image' and copy that.

Now paste that link between two IMG tags as below and you'll see your images appear in your posts.

If you're struggling, quote this reply and you'll see how I've used the IMG tags to 'host' the image in the post.

Oh, and one last thing - I think a maximum of 900 pixels in either direction is a good maximum image size for direct viewing. Any larger and you might need to use those thumbnail options you've already discovered.
