Hello. Currently i sold my Asus Z170-P and 6700K cpu.
And currently i will be changing from my Kingston Hyperx 2x8GB 2133mhz ( from old chipset ) to
G.SKILL 16GB 3000MHz RipjawsV CL15 (2x8GB) to get better performance on 8700K stock clocks.

I bought Asus Z370-PRO Gaming.

Memory compatibility list:

This rams i want to buy:

https://www.x-kom.pl/p/312567-pamiec-ram-ddr4-gskill-16gb-3000mhz-ripjawsv-cl15-2x8gb.html

G.SKILL 16GB 3000MHz RipjawsV CL15 (2x8GB) 1.35

So they are XMP memory right? I will be completing pc parts in next week. So if i boot pc first time to UEFI , it will revert rams to 2133mhz and 1.2v right? To get 3000mhz and 1.35v i must enable only XMP profile in UEFI,thats all?

I am scared about instability with XMP. There is a million topics with instability pc using xmp profiles and memtest86 errors. I dont wanna mess with voltages, timings etc. Just want all stable on stock.

But stability with xmp is guaranteed by manufacturer of this rams right?

No, the only thing guaranteed is that the 8700k will run up to 64gb ram at 2666mhz. Anything above that and it is pot luck. if you are not overclocking the cpu at all there is a good chance it will run 3000mhz absolutely fine.

If you want to make sure it is 100% stable and run everything at stock, see if that ram has a 2666mhz xmp setting and stick with that.

Personally i have always found ram overclocking a complete pain in the ****. I might been generally unlucky but some sort of issue or instability rears its ugly head at some point.

Doesn't matter. The ram is rated at that but your CPU is not officially rated to run ram at that speed.

It will probably be fine but it isn't guaranteed.

But this ram are listed as 3000mhz.

That just means that the memory has been deemed by the manufacturer of the ram as being capable of running at such a speed.

Its then a case as to whether the intergrated memory controller on the CPU can also manage said speed.

That said intel currently tends to have quite good support for overclocked memory speeds with their chips tending to have 'good/strong' IMC's

So in my mobo 3000mhz is oc , right? So if i turn on pc first time they will revert to 1.2v and 2133mhz or 2666mhz? So 2666mhz is not oc, but 3000mhz oc? Can i have a stability problems with 3000hz when i change to XMP because this is oc?

Anything over 2666mhz is overclocking but you'll be fine with it on the XMP settings, if you want to be 100% sure run it with the XMP settings then use HCI Memtest and Memtest86 to be certain.

You do not need to use XMP. You can just set the memory speed and CAS in bios, adjust the voltage to run properly at that speed. In fact if you are getting XMP errors, a small voltage nudge will usually sort it out.

Somebody said that i will be have stability problems on 3000mhz with that rams.

"You will have a stability problem with the 3000MHz, most likely.

I get things to run at the SPEED I plan to run them. This removes confusion.

The 3000MHz has the potential to Assign the TIMINGS for 3000MHz while trying to clock it at 2666 or less. Since the 3000 will be the XMP profile, you will have to manually set the Speed and timing in the BIOS. "
