Hey guys, I have an oldish pc which I'm using as a kinda lan box. It's a Atholon x2 x64 6000, the problem is it has a tuniq tower on it atm, and they have a silly spring system that holds the cooler in place.
Whats happening is that when I move it in the car the cooler seems to move and break the seal with the cpu and paste, thus resulting in high temps(70+) and throttle back. When I reseat it its fine(44ish). What I'm looking for is a cooler that screws through the MB onto a back plate like most others do in a hope that this will stop it.
Hope you guys can help me out here and thanks in advance.

Never seen a TT mounting mechanism but can it be adapted with one of the widely available bolthrough kits? They only cost £3-5 if it can be done.

***Edit*** Is this how yours mounts? If so have you tried screwing the springs down as far as possible? Alternatively take the springs off and fir some sort of spacers.

Yeah thats how it works on a 775, but with a am2 theres a piece of metal that looks like a stretched "m" and you hook it over the two catches at the top/bottom of the cpu bracket and it holds it in place by spring tension.
I dont mind buying a new coller as i can use the TT in a different one, i just want one that gets locked in place.
