Age of Empires III - 10p. Yes. 10p.

That's quite clever marketing. Once our credit card details are set up we'll be more easily tempted by later offers. I certainly fell for it. :-)

I enjoyed AoE 1 & 2, but the 3 demo didn't thrill me. At 10p it would be rude not to give it another try one day... when I'm bored. Probably really bored. I still have games from last Xmas's Steam sale which I haven't played. I need a month off work to prepare for this Xmas.

Might be a stupid question, but where is the product key stored?
Do they actually post out the retail packaging?
I am trying to install and it is asking for a key, and i can't see any electronic reference to one.

Ugh, my account thinks I'm in the United States and there's no way to change it (despite my account being @hotmail.co.uk) Now it looks like I can't use my Windows Live account to buy anything.

Nope, it's a digital copy.

  • Open your GFWL client.
  • Downloads > All Downloads.
  • Select AoE III.
  • View Game Keys.

Nice find OP. :)

But I need some help. I have the abomination that is GFWL on my C drive for some reason. This is my OS SSD.

I don't want GFWL on my C drive. The fact that it is an MS programme worries me though.

I should be able to unistall it then reinstall onto my games drive? I hope so or I am stuffed. :(
