Anyone going to the races over the next few days at Aintree? Got any tips you want to share? This is the thread for it :)

Im off there tomorrow, ladies day :D. Purely for the racing of course ;)

First race is off in an hour. Here are my selections for today:

2pm My way de solzen to win (Bah :mad: came second!)
2.35 My Will (each way) (Bah..still running probably!)
3.10 Detroit City To win (Yay! Romped home at 3-1)
3.45 Arctic Times (Each way...but this race is a lottery!) (Told you it was a lottery, horse that won it last year won it this year again lol)
4.20 Mansony To win (bah...nowhere again. not having a good day today)
4.55 Natal to win (lovely job. Won @ 7-2 that's me up on the day now)
5.30 Callherwhatyoulike (Each way) (nowhere but not a bad days work in all)


If you are going to have a bet, bet what you can afford to lose. Don't trust my judgement and these are not tips. Just thought I would share my betting slip for the day :)

Whats everyone going to be betting for on the big day then?

Me ? I don't have a clue yet, I'll have a look at The Sun's supplement tomorow most probably.
 
There is only one winner at the national......the bookie :)

Garvivonnian is worth a punt imho. 16-1. It's my mates horse and he reckons its well worth a go.

Right....leaving in an hour but done my homework and have picked the following little beauties:

2.00 Hard to look past Star De Mohaison to win here but Turpin green is worth an each way punt (ok so I gave you the winner and second....thank me later.)

2.35 Money Trix is worth a dabble each way but again Black Jack Ketchum is odds on (seeing a pattern here? First and second predicted yet again.)

3.10 Central house each way or Fota Island win (Fota island was second)

3.45 Mixterthetrixster is fancied on this one and the going should be good today so should suit it. (this one is still running!)

4.20 Straw bear to win or Senorita Rumbalita (well look what won?)

4.55 I really fancy Fair Prospect in this one and might be tempted to have a good go on it ( nowhere)

5.30 Phar Bleu each way (nowhere)

Well me and mrsyoustolemyname had a lovely day. Just got home about 15 mins ago. She is taking the makeup off, I am transfering the winnings from our betting account to our bank account.

Hope everyone had as good as day as me. Good luck for tomorrow in the national. Probably better buying a lottery ticket but the one i have tipped will win if it doesnt fall.....

There's my selections for today. Innox is the one for the National. Any more rain would be a big bonus.

It's got as good a chance as any. It should also be up with the leading 10 horses throughout the race therefore reducing any chance of being brought down.

Just don't put too much on. It is the national after all. :)

I've got a 5'er on Garvivonnian through work and put £5 each way on Amberleigh House and Innox :D. Lets hope I can win something! :D
 
Said it all week - Cornish Rebel.
Crazily overpriced at 25/1, can stay the distance, only slight concern is he can be a quirky jumper. If he can get over safely, he'll get a place.
 
i got my BIG money on Innox £1 EW at 14/1 and Shotgun willy 50p EW at 150/1 :)i work at ladbrokes and a lot seem to be putting on innox.
