Is a 280mm AIO good enough for the Ryzen 3600x.
Would a 360mm be better or is it over the top.
I am not planning to overclock to start with but might later, although I have read these chips do get hot.
There seem to be a bigger choice of cases that take a 280mm as I was thinking of putting it at the top and am looking at Lian Li Lancool II Mesh
Thanks

Tbh both are over the top for a 3600X and all you really need is a cheap £30 cooler especially if you're going with a high airflow case.

The money that you spend on an AIO could instead go towards a 5600X which would deliver a significant performance uplift as opposed to the 1~2% you would gain from an AIO on a 3600X.

Even so the 5600X is still a 65w chip so an AIO isn't really needed though if you did want one then a 240mm would be the largest you can fit in the top of a lancool II unless you wanted to front mount.
